Arne Jacobsen designed a house for H.J. Hansen, who was director of Lauritz Knudsen. Hansen was so taken with Arne Jacobsen that he asked him to design a clock for him in return in the 1930s. The clock was exhibited at the Forårsudstillingen (Spring Exhibition) at Charlottenborg in 1939 and was Arne Jacobsen's first industrial design.

The clocks have since been updated with an alarm, a snooze function and a light activated by an invisible sensor on top of the clock. A beautiful, simple and classic alarm clock that graces any home.
